Odd Calipers, UK and J spec brakes on the same car?

Recommended Posts

Decided to paint my calipers and noticed that the front calipers are larger than the back calipers.

I know that my fronts are UK spec because I had pads fitted a couple of months back.

Is it possible that the previous owners had only coverted the front and left the rears, or do the UK specs have small rear calipers?

If I do have a mixture, is it safe?

Cheers

The UK rears are smaller than the fronts, theres no point in having them the same size as the fronts do most of the braking anyway. So long as they look like a mini version of the UK fronts then they are okay, if they look small with openings near the bottom of the caliper then they might be j-specs.

Somebody really needs to take some piccies of the front and rear calipers on UK and imports and then post them in a thread on here so we can all reference back to them.

Anyone got any leads on sourcing? Or any available following an upgrade etc?
