mike_mcevoy
driving like a typical evo driver!!! What was he doing trying to overtake through a corner. The poor driver in the 106 gets taken out?

JustGav
What exactly happened... The photo's show him going round behind two evos, and then the next shot it is 90 deg door facing down with nothing around him. http://www.turnpikeracing.co.uk/combe-2007_10_06/Castle%20Combe%206-10-2007%20Martin%20Hillier/thumbnails/rt2o7904.jpg http://www.turnpikeracing.co.uk/combe-2007_10_06/Castle%20Combe%206-10-2007%20Martin%20Hillier/thumbnails/rt2o7906.jpg
JustGav
Never mind... I'm assuming, he has slid wide on the corner and the front near side has hit the grass and dug in and physics did the rest...
Sandy-m2
from the vid it look like he goes across the bonnet of the Pug

Marty
If id been the pug driver i wouldve given him a smack once he climbed out the wreck. Tosspot.
Chris Wilson
Cage held up well, didn't it? He'd not have walked away with no cage, things like that show how an extra bunch of kilos can be very worthwhile. I take it was in some saloon car race series, and not a track day event

mkirby
yeh was a proper race but its always dangerous to put a 500++ bhp evo in the same race as a 106? but then again it has to be said the pug driver did everything right, he moved over even though he had the right of way as he/she was entering a corner but the evo's just over took the pug anyway in the corner and simon was going far too fast and understeered into the pug and to be honest if the pug had not been there he would have probably gone straight into the fence and possibly been worse? Glad no one was hurt but it was avoidable!! i believe simon has offered to pay for the pug to be sorted so glad he has taken responsibility Mike
Gaz Walker
That was a big crash, glad he's OK. Nice that hes offering to sort the pug. It was a accident but an avoidable one. Regards, Gaz.
Thorin
Well that's a big crash! Imagine if the barrier hadn't been there!
Gord R
Read on MLR before. Simon has admitted responsibility and if CC agree the accident was his fault he will pay Chrissy (lass in 106) £1000 towards the repair costs.
