What exactly happened...

 

The photo's show him going round behind two evos, and then the next shot it is 90 deg door facing down with nothing around him.

from the vid it look like he goes across the bonnet of the Pug

Cage held up well, didn't it? He'd not have walked away with no cage, things like that show how an extra bunch of kilos can be very worthwhile. I take it was in some saloon car race series, and not a track day event :)

 

yesp Caslte coombe based event. Four mixed classes. majority of cars ar lower 3 classes and a handfull of evo's.

yeh was a proper race but its always dangerous to put a 500++ bhp evo in the same race as a 106? but then again it has to be said the pug driver did everything right, he moved over even though he had the right of way as he/she was entering a corner but the evo's just over took the pug anyway in the corner and simon was going far too fast and understeered into the pug and to be honest if the pug had not been there he would have probably gone straight into the fence and possibly been worse?

 

Glad no one was hurt but it was avoidable!! i believe simon has offered to pay for the pug to be sorted :) so glad he has taken responsibility
