RedM
Are they the only team still with a tobacco company as their primary sponsor?

Alex
There are symbols on the cars at every race that everyone knows are Marlboro...without actually saying it. In China where there are no tobacco advertising laws they can just have the name on the car. Isn't it amazing how they can still be sponsored by a tabacco firm even though it's banned... Is it something to do with them being Ferrari and no-one (including Bernie 'The Poison Dwarf' Ecclestone or Max 'Would you like me to spit or swallow, Mr Montezemolo?' Mosely) dares to upset them! Alex
No it's Ferrari and Marlboro basically being so tight that Marlboro basically still invest because everyone sees and knows of Marlboro when they see a Ferrari F1 car. The brands are synominous(sp?)...the FIA actually can't do much about it, AFAIK.

I read somewhere that Marlboro are planning to put the Ferrari 'poncing horse' logo on their ciggy packs!
Alex
Part of me does wonder why they bother banning advertising...these companies are still raking in huge amounts of cash and it was nice that they used to pump their ill gotten gains into *sport*.
