My 360 keeps freezing after about 2 minutes. What can i do? anyone got any suggestions? some details:

bought from argos last december

havent got the receipt so dont think i can take it back to argos can i?

are you getting the red light of doom?

if not where have you got the xbox sitting? it will heat up and freeze (if that makes sense) if you dont give it good ventilation.

You can send it back to Microsoft as they have 3 yrs warranty. They wont be shocked to get it back :D and more then likely will send you a new one.

I remember reading on AV Forums, that the 3 year warranty is only extended to the Red rings of Death, any other problems are only covered by the original 12 month warranty, so you may need a proof of purchase to get it repaired.

I fixed mine with the 3 red lights of death - just search under google for xbox 360 xclamp.

cost me 8 quid total and bought the broken XBOX for 50 quid so 58 quid for a machine that plays Halo 3 :D

The warranty seal was already broken on this one, maybe previous owner tried to flash it but I'd always try and get it swapped/repaired by M$ for free. If they won't then try this fix!

Hi mate, as an employee of Microsoft, I would recommend sending it to Microsoft for replacement. They will send you a brand new console, because they've modified some of the components on the inside in order to minimize red light problems and freezing.
