Lewis Hamilton gets away with it!

To be honest I have really gone off the guy, dont really care if he is British and a good prospect for the future. For me his whole attitude has changed, he seemed to be very humble at the beginning but now :blahblah::blahblah::blahblah: I cant stand him, I'd love to see Ron lease him out to one of the lower teams but it aint going to happen

Must be hard not getting a bit bigheaded with what he's done and think its too much too soon in his F1 carea.

Definetly not helping his situation imo

Hope he wins though and then comes back next year a lot more mature, his driving cant be faulted so its just the pr skills now :D

Is he being arrogant?

I think we have a problem in this country with talented people actually admitting to their talent. We mistake confidence and self-belief for arrogance and we are almost always guilty of building them up only to knock them down.

He's been under immense pressure this year, as has everyone. The press also twist words, if you read the ACTUAL transcripts of interviews etc usually everything is so much less contraversial.

I just want him to retain a British reserve and dignity and not stoop to cheap shots etc, leave them to the continental's ;)

He possibly needs to limit his press involvement for the next 48hrs....

:D Glad he got off. It would have been just stupid if he'd been fined or docked points for that incident.

What's the betting F1 politics had a BIG say in Webbers decision to put in the complaint?

And I can quite understand why Lewis is inclined to get out of F1.

It's not the "sport" it used to be.

If he carries on winning then he has every right to be a bit arrogant. No harm in that at all.

MCLAREN RULES despite other cheating and canniving idiots

Well said:d

I think F1 needs Lewis, he is very good he can talk to the interviewers, unlike some drivers, and he's bloody quick. It has been the closest title race in years, and I think its great:d

:yeahthat:

but there have been moments where i've thought "mclaren need to help him a bit more with his pr skills". nothing to do with him, just inexperience and maybe the team havent focused enough on that part of his career as much as they should. its a lot to handle on such young shoulders and id hate to see what a pr mess some of the other drivers would be in the same position.

on a separate note, has anyone else noticed the influx of fresh talent on the grid lately? if these "kids" (as the aussie oap likes to put it) carry on the way they are going, we are set for a few good years of racing ahead - and some of that has to do with them wanting to beat Lewis. All in all we have Ron Dennis and Anthony Hamilton to thank for that, in some respects even more than lewis. If anthony hadnt worked his arse off to put lewis through karting and ron hadnt spotted him, who knows what we'd miss. All in all - they are a major factor in the great few years of racing we have ahead. my 2pence worth :D

I think it is called British reserve really, you are right about talented people. Although remeber about other side of medal , too many people in this country think too much of themself, they are arrogant, they have attitiude problems - that's why some can recognise Hamilton as being arrogant and mistaking his behaviour with self-belief and confidence. Oh and jelaousy ;)
