neil tt
I will only use the high street from now on, at least you have some come back, although twice the price, but I think boots are pretty cheap:)
Thorin
Angela got some from spex4less I believe it was. She said the glasses weren't quite as good as her contact lenses, but as she wears contacts most of the time anyway they're fine. Trouble is that most opticians don't tell you all the different measurements other than just the -3.0/-3.5 bit.

Trouble is that most opticians don't tell you all the different measurements other than just the -3.0/-3.5 bit. Thats the trouble, not quite as good is pretty much the same as no good at all. If she had gone to an opticians they would have been made spot on (hopefully) and if there was a problem it would be rectified. With regards to measuring yourself on higher prescriptions even being a few mm out can cause problems.I know I work in the trade and may have a biased view but you should'nt reall scrimp on things like eyesight. JonW
My girlfriend is an optician and she says buying on-line is ok as long as you continue to have your eyes checked at an opticians. Simply because an optician can spot early warning signs of many illnesses by checking your eyes.
