Wez
Hey All, A big thanks to Ryan and Charlie. Just back from SRR and with HKS264/264 my motor made 552hp at 1.1bar without using the water/meth injection. I use to make 510hp at 1.4bar. Homer
Crikey Wes, thats some increase, especially at only 1.1 bar! How's the top end now and does it still tail off? Would love to have another go in it to see how it is now. I'm seriously considering changing to a smaller turbo
Wez
The only issue I have is boost control, I am going to wire up the AEM boost solenoid asap. I think the little MBC cannot keep enough air away from the wastegate, hence the 1.1bar, the boost drops as airflow increases, with stock cams and less airflow this wasnt an issue. The power increases all the way to redline even though the boost is dropping You can really feel the difference up top

Wez
Here is the graph, you can see the torque falling due to boost dropping but power still climbs to 552hp and at peak the boost is only 1.1bar.

Wez
This graphs shows the boost, even though the boost drops from 1.3 to 1.1 the power still increases. With the solenoid I am hoping to run 1.6bar.

Chris Wilson
Nice curve Wes. Makes me feel nice and warm for dialling in the cams, and bothering to re shim, rather than just bolting the cams in. I said that set up deserved more duration Good figures.
