Wayney
Fancy trading in your 10 year old + Supra for a 360 Spider!! Think again!! Some thing they don't tell you on TopGear, 5th Gear or in the brochure. After reading this, my Supra is worth its weight in gold http://www.furball5000.co.uk/members/viewtopic.php?t=632&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=
Wayney
TO be honest this chap brought it from a Stratstone (MAIN AGENT FOR FERRARI UK). He should of been treated better. Selling a car with barely legal tyres is not on, pad & and a knackered exhaust. I worked on a consultancy project with Accenture, when we rolled out a new computer system for all the Ferrari dealer across the UK. The level of staff moral was low, lots of politics, apparently, huge back logs, of parts to be shipped over from Italy etc, etc, etc. You can never shy away from the fact, that Ferrari is owned by Fiat, who we all know is a shambles. Its a shame as one of my childhood dream manufacturers, will never one day be realized. Because of shabby customer service, well over priced parts, as brittle car, which bores a huge hole in your pocket with endless bills. After hearing storied like this, if really puts you off owning one. Its funny I just came back from one of these super car runs, and they are all snobby to Jap cars, they wont tell you to your face. But its very apparent in their body language and behavour. My Supra may be 13 years old with 80k miles on the clock, with regular oil change every 12k and it got the performance of a 360, or dare I say it, at 1.2 bar it'll piss all over it!! The Restorer
He should have had McLaren look at it for him. Apparently they have a lot of Ferrari in their cars so would have been able to help him out a little better!

bromy
I like this bit ' I paid the amount due on my debit card '. I bought a Mazda MX6 from Stratstone in Wilmslow once when it was shared with Aston
grahamc
you can still buy a ferrari, just from an independant dealer.
dangerous brain
There would be very broken legs going on if someone did that to me. Maybe he is so relaxed cos the original salesman is wearing concrete boots at the bottom of a reservoir somewhere.

Pete
He does sound like a bit of a muppet. It reads typically like someone who has a lot of cash and no understanding of cars, which a dealer took advantage of.
Wayney
Ah debit card. I find it hard to feel sorry for anyone who has that much money in their account. Replying to the above quote, every one has dreams and aspirations, this chap has clearly worked dam hard for his cash, hence taking the time to do a full write up. There is no reason that he should be treated like that. You pay £70k to be one of the special owners, you've expect the dealers to bend over backwards for you. Which is clearly not the case. It sounds like Stratstone is now managed by Arthur Daley. The thing that really piss me off is the bold face lying, 7 former keepers, missing service history, tools, no extended warranty, barley legal tyres & brakes. Replaced exhaust, which am inferior quality one. leaky roof etc I think its put me off owning a Ferrari full stop.
