Cerikbok
ok, I have a few queries I have been dying to figure out and google just isnt cutting it haha. First off, are both my mirrors supposed to fold in when I hit the button cause only the drivers side does. Second, can someone explain the Active spoiler control to me, does every mkiv supra have it? and its located in the front? Lastly, where is a good place to get a respray for the whole car, and how tacky would it be to have the car done black and the engine well be white O.o

Guest DaveWilko
The active spoiler is at the front. It extends automatically when you go over 60mph. You can extend it when you are stopped but the engine has to be off and the transmission in park (if its an auto) and the ignition switched on. The override button stops the spoiler extending when driving I think. I also think only UK and U.S. cars had the active spoiler
Guest DaveWilko
White is the new black! lol. I think you would spoil the car. Its not just the engine bay. Inside the rear hatch, the door jambs and under the bonnet would need painted. More expensive than a same colour respray. Unless you got the car very cheap it would be cheaper to sell it and buy a black one
Homer
Lastly, where is a good place to get a respray for the whole car, and how tacky would it be to have the car done black and the engine well be white O.o Depends on your budget, if you want a perfect job then GVN, if you want a cheapish job then Knightracer (IME, I can't recommend then for quality though) BTW, sounds tacky. Engine in White - WTF! The active spoiler is at the front. It extends automatically when you go over 60mph. You can extend it when you are stopped but the engine has to be off and the transmission in park (if its an auto) and the ignition switched on. The override button stops the spoiler extending when driving I think. I also think only UK and U.S. cars had the active spoiler Correct to some degree there:) The Auto-off button stops it deploying completely. When the car is parked, the engine stopped and the ign in II, the same button deploys the spoiler for cleaning (or posing photos ) It was an option on the early RZ's and GZ's but is quite common on TT jspec cars (All UK's had it as standard), but I think was standard on the facelift TT models. Guest DaveWilko
Thanks homer I'm so vain. I always deploy the spoiler when I park up lol. It looks lower and meaner

KimberleyAnn
None of my mirrors fold in i blame the jap who had it before lol
Cerikbok
haha, I figured the mirrors was right because the far side one is always getting knocked back when I go to the wash. Guess I will have to buy that new set, as for the active spoiler I definitely dont have any of those cool buttons so that answers that, and I definitely am going to have to have a cheaper respray at the moment. Thanks for all the help, one last one though Since my car is standard white you think if I had the body kit parts sprayed alone they could match it and save a whole respray of the car because the paint is fine
Soaruss
Were electric folding mirrors an option when new cos mine doesnt have a button to fold the mirrors in. It has the up/down side to side adjusting button but thats all. :(

Seems most (all?) facelift cars have the electrically folding mirrors.
