SUPRASUZUKI
Following my father's retirement a few years back my parents decided they wanted to continue to do interesting stuff. So they sold everything over here, went to the USA, bought a new 36 foot camper and spent the next few years touring the US and Canada. They eventually bought a house in New Mexico, which they now call 'home'. Fair enough. This year they decide to go and see some of Alaska, by driving. They've just got back (to New Mexico) afer 5 months and 8,500 miles, getting out just before the Alaskan winter. Otherwise they'd have been stuck 'til next spring!! To cap it all, mum shared some of the driving after recently passing her test over there (she never passed her test over here). Not bad for a couple of 70 year olds.......... Gaz Walker
Well done to them. I'd love to do some serious driving in the US. Alaska looks like a beautiful country, would love to do that. Regards, Gaz.
tbourner
I'd love to go there, don't think the missus would appreciate the temps but I like it cold. Maybe I'll wait till we get our Mal next year and take him!
Supragal
Awesome! Isn't it rubbish that you have to be retired to actually do enjoyable things?
