RobSheffield
Would it have been possible for the cameraman to lay off the crack for a few days - i gave up after 2 minutes of zooming in and out!

Mike M
No. 6 days. It's back on Sunday. Thank feck, its like they've tried to copy top gears relaxed laid back style but in turn made themselves look sh't.

Branners
They dont seem to have an original thought in their head though. The Bowler thing, they could have done something different with it, like perhaps running it on a Dakar style set of dunes instead of copying how Top Gear tested the other Bowler they had. And why bothering even reviewing the crossover vehicles if they are identical in almost every single way and they only chose the Citroen because it was silver and had chrome on it. They only glanced over the kit cars when they could have at least done a road test against the real thing to see how they fared. so less than impressed with that episode. tbourner
I was able to watch about 23 seconds of the Apollo going round a track before the stupid bitch who's house I was round turned over to TMF!! So I didn't get to see how bad the programme was. I actually like 5th Gear, I don't take any more notice of the reviews than I do in Top Gear but it's still some nice car porn. Alex
The fuel test was interesting. They tested all these bottles of octane booster in a lab with a Rover K series engine and found it LOST power (2%). You could argue that of course this power might be recoverable...and more...with a timing adjustment etc. But lets face it, none of us would adjust the timing to that degree for a pissy bottle of rubbish. Although it taught us nothing new, it was nice to see all of our beliefs backed up with a lab test.

I'd have been interested to see what difference a 10% mix of Toluene would have made in the same test.
