turbonut
Top bloke. Just have to wait for some warm weather now otherwise I'll get shouted at for spraying indoors! I removed the wiper blade holders in the spring and resprayed them with Autoglym Satin Black but its not 'weatherd' our conditions. What brand of paint did you use Ady? thanks and well done Linda xx

I used a black aerosol spray paint - nothing AMAZING, got it from my local car shop (wich isnt the best) It Was SATIN black - HY-COTE was the brand. mawby
I started doing this tonight but couldn't get the rear wiper arm off. Having just broken the plastic bolt cover in my attempts I thought I'd ask if anyone had any bright ideas?
dwayne
mine were a bit of a struggle so i gently wiggled them from side to side while lifting as even as i could and it did the trick
mawby
Hmm... I tried that. I've left it soaking in WD40 over night so hopefully that will help.
dwayne
if all else fails there is a tool on the market although i expect one could be made without too much trouble http://www.toolshopdirect.co.uk/item.php/site/froogle/sn/71462
mawby
£10 just to remove the wiper arm - ouch! But it has given me an idea... thanks.
Kilps
I started doing this the other day... just with the rear one to start with, in case I screw it up! I've sanded down the outside of the arm to bare metal, but the spring inside the arm is too tight to get out. I've tried clamping the end of the arm in a vice and pulling at the spring with a pair of pliers, but it's too tough for me Has anyone else gone to the extent of removing the spring to sort out the rust inside? Has anyone got any idea how I can safely extend the spring so I can take it off without it pinging off and taking my eye out?!
Elmo
I did my front wipers about 18 months ago, a quick & easy job and makes them look like new!
