 Top bloke. Just have to wait for some warm weather now otherwise I'll get shouted at for spraying indoors! :innocent:

I removed the wiper blade holders in the spring and resprayed them with Autoglym Satin Black but its not 'weatherd' our conditions. What brand of paint did you use Ady?

thanks and well done

Hi Linda

I used halfords own make of primer and lacqure - think it was under £10 for them both, but i baught them a while ago and never used them.

I used a black aerosol spray paint - nothing AMAZING, got it from my local car shop (wich isnt the best)

It Was SATIN black - HY-COTE was the brand.

I started doing this the other day... just with the rear one to start with, in case I screw it up!

I've sanded down the outside of the arm to bare metal, but the spring inside the arm is too tight to get out. I've tried clamping the end of the arm in a vice and pulling at the spring with a pair of pliers, but it's too tough for me :(

Has anyone else gone to the extent of removing the spring to sort out the rust inside? Has anyone got any idea how I can safely extend the spring so I can take it off without it pinging off and taking my eye out?!
