Muffleman
By looking at the 'What's New' page, it would seem as if Dan is now into GTOs On the dyno pages, it looks as if the cars are strapped down by a belt running through the car. I assume this is due to traction issues on the rollers, but wont this just compress the springs a little ? Surely this would only 'work' if the springs were sufficiently compressed so as to strap the car down onto the rollers. Not sure about this at all !!! Muffleman
Oh, and who is the 'Ex World Champion Rally driver' on Dan's team ? (see Motorsport page). This is not me 'knocking' Dan, FWIW when they opened my engine up recently it was in fantastic condition, so not poorly mapped. Just curious. The car is strapped down as you describe with this mapper and most of the spring travel is removed by strapping very firmly, I always wondered if this added to the stresses on the car?? I know the rear tyres were toast after 2 days of mapping adding to the expense you should factor in with this mapping method
