I make a point of NEVER giving way or letting a bus out anywhere otherwise I will be stuck behind the bloody thing for miles as it stops at every bus stop on route.

99% of bus drivers are grumpy gits who think they own the bloody road.

Graham, ever thought they may drive like they do because otherwise they'd get nowhere? i.e. see Mark's post.

My girlfriend had to point to our village on a map because, even though the bus went through it, the POLISH bus driver had never heard of the place and thought she was trying to scam a free lift!

Aren't there enough retarded misanthropes in this country that we have to get our bus drivers from Poland?

is part of their driving test to see how close they can drive up the arse of your supra before they hit it .if they can get to within an inch its an automatic pass.

They're actually trying to ram you, but they haven't realised they don't have a bonnet at the front...

I'm always extra carefull when getting on a bus driven by a polish person you never know what they'll do to get a UK passport..... :taped: :)

We run over ILLEGAL immigrants to make line shorter :) I would do some things to get UK passport, it is fastest way to get to Australia And London is nightmare of any bus driver, same with Birmingham.

Misanthropes are too busy breeding to keep Britain "british" and claim social help :) (Or do office job). I never gave a fcuk about any village on a route, same with morons asking about God forbidden street in middle of nowhere, when you have 25 miles route  Maybe driver was too busy looking at ur gf's tits?

Anyway - you guys spending on road around 1h daily, HGV/bus drivers spending around 9 hours every day, going through morning/evening rush hour, dealing with assholes, who have retarded distance perception, roads blocked by "parents", bus lanes and streets blocked by another parking assholes (Soho road in Birmingham is fine example), black kids making playgrounds on upper floor, white chavs leaving tons of trash everywhere, Jamaicans smoking pot, foul mouthed "single" mothers, when you ask them to fold buggy or show/buy ticket - we can occasionally become grumpy dealing with so called "public".

I for instance always say "thank you" when you leave bus, lowering bus for eldery people, smiling to nice girls ;) Just following old good advice "All people bring joy in your life - some when they entering, some when they leaving".

I spend 2h Minimum travelling to and from work (Usually Car Sharing) - In reality it's 3h a day, usually more, and on most occasions held up by a jam or another...

I go from Cheltenham to Bristol, and daily I have to deal with :

assholes, who have retarded distance perception, roads blocked by "parents", bus lanes and streets blocked by another parking assholes

Plus HGV's, Middle Lane Hoggers, Caravans, Abnormal Wide Loads, Highways Agency people closing off land 1 as there's a 'Van Broken Down', slightly bad weather making everyone drive like they've got no eyesight, tailgaters, Traffic News on local radio saying how there's a 'Speed Restriction' on a stretch of motorway as someone phoned up to say the sign in the middle said 50... (That's an advisory, not a 'restriction'), I wish I got paid for driving and being in traffic, like they do!...

They know what it's like when they go for and accept the job, the same as I did when I chose to commute...

yea, you are right Pot. Reason is:

1. Country is run by assholes who..

2. ...red taped police which....

3. ... cannot do nothing about youths messing in bus and...

4. ...even if they can it is slap on wrist and badge of honour (ASBO) so...

5. ...normal people starting to get afraid and use cars, which...

6. ... causing crap situation on road like you described.

One bus half-filled with people means around 30 cars less on road. Travel West Midlands in their area transporting around 1 milion passangers every day - now imagine all those people in cars adding to existing traffic.

Plus the fact the pubic transport infrastructure is so lame if I get do pubic transport to work, I sacrifice the 1->2hr car share for :

30 min walk to the railway station... (I have osteochondritis in my right knee, it hurts when I get halfway there)

Train's usually on time, the ticket's £15 (Cattle Class return)

Unless you pay 1st Class there's not much chance of a seat, even in 1st class you're not promised one...

So 50 minutes of standing up and being shaken around then off at Temple Meads (The main Bristol station)

And a 30 minute to the Spectrum Building to get to work...

And in any temperature or weather...

And the same again after you finish work....

OR...

Drive there, suffer the crap traffic, share the fuel costs (Works out at half the price of a return ticket divided by 2 :D), park in an underground carpark at your place of work... But be annoyed about the idiots on the road (My previous post...)

Point of this post... The roads may be full of fu***ng idiots, but it's better than pubic transport... :D

I used public transport when I came back to the UK in December to collect my car from storage.

It was 6am and cold, dark and wet. The bus was late, and didn't have any heating. I was cold.

I had to wait 20 minutes at the train station for the guy to fix the ticket machine. The train I got on was filthy dirty, and late. The tube I got after was filthy dirty, but on time.

The train I got on the last leg didn't have any heating, and I was b*stard freezing when I got there.

Cost me more to get there than it did driving back in the Supra.

I'm back again in a couple of weeks and going to a wedding.

I'm borrowing the old fella's car.

Unfortunatelly not enough, if you ask me... Industrial action soon :)

I'm sorry to hear this, but I can only say from driver perspective, engineers are lazy bastards and are paid to let bus on the road, they do not give a crap about heating unless bus is moving. National Express buses are not that bad tho, Travel London buses supposed to me good too, as those are scrapped after 5 years in duty.

Prat.

:thanku::friends: I'm here all week.

I paid membership and following rules :) Anyway - what's your problem? I thought your/your family tree origins are not english at all, so why so much hate towards immigration (especially legal one)?

PS. I passed my PCV driving licence here, so I belive remarks about stupid polish drivers was not necessary. Before you will comment about how complicated it is - I did not do this because I needed money, I did it to find out if I can drive large vehicles.

@Ivan

You seems to missing out one important point, it was RedM who insulted me, yet you patting him on back, when he is doing it again? :)

Thank god you have the racist/nationalist card ready for use one day :) I was starting to think you were one of the few that forgot about that!

And thanks for the offer but I'll decline politely.

No, but i like to call things simple and straight. You are implying all the time, that because of my nationality and limited english vocabulary I'm stupid - this is definition of nationalism. AFAIK you are of indian origin, you will struggle to get into BNP to get rid of all those bloody immigrants. In reality your only advantage is language - but then, you had over 20 years to learn English, I'm here 3 years, soon will catch up.

Getting back to topic - in Wolves fuel prices are still under 1 pound/litre at Shell, although V power is over pound for a long, long time :( Not to mention, that 1 pound/litre is still absolute rip-off!

Just one minor correction to your English: The word you are looking for is mechanics. :)
