hoff
99.9p for v-power? Id take that. Its 101.9 and 105.9 in the 2 towns by me before the tax hike! It is a joke putting it up again.
colsoop
They spend it on second homes and other important things that suit their own needs
hoff
I swear its down to the smoking ban. People either quitting smoking or not going to the pub. So they are losing the tax on that.

snake
They all wear the same outfit at fancy dress parties you can guess what that is, and we pay all the transport fees to get them to the fuc-ing party.
RobSheffield
I think currently they ARE spending it on the roads... On silly old men in JCBs to sit and read the Sport all day long instead of actually doing anything!
snake
They can buy some more speed cameras with the money, so they can make more money out of motorists ,INSTEAD of employing more police to catch REAL criminals who are robbing and killing people. n boost
They spend the money on filling up there own cars and paying there bills for the numerous mistakes they make each year. They should spend the money on bloody brain transplants for there leaders then maybe it will be money well spent. By the way Gov't is just a gang full of bully's. Bob
Just pop over the causeway at the weekend, to our sunny isle of Bahrain, where members of The British Club pay about 1.50 for a pint, and have 25% discounts at the booze outlets (bringing the prices to just less than UK ones). Why not, all the bloody Saudis do it!
miko_supra
They say they are increasing the tax for the environment, so that we a decide to sell our cars and wait 15 minutes in the rain for a bus full of chavs that will most probably mug me. But isnt high octane petrol supposed to be better for emissions? if this is the case, then why not make V-Power, Ultimate etc... lower on tax? RedM
Just raise the driving age to 21. It'll help the environment and lower congestion.
miko_supra
Just raise the driving age to 21. It'll help the environment and lower congestion. No sorry thats rediculous. People start full time work at ages as little as 16. I started my full time job 50 miles from where i live at the age of 18, and if i didnt have a car i would be screwed and probably end up going to uni, getting lashed and stealing traffic cones
Thorin
if i didnt have a car i would be screwed and probably end up going to uni, getting lashed and stealing traffic cones Or you could use public transport. I think it's a great idea, teach people how to use bus and train time tables!
miko_supra
Or you could use public transport. I think it's a great idea, teach people how to use bus and train time tables! n boost
Come on people, The bus and train sevice is a joke. My GF goe's to her moms fortnightly who lives in Notts. When the weather is bad she will catch a train. About 60% of the time there are no trains running and they have a coach service instead which takes about an hour extra. I have not used public transport for the last 12 yrs and will NEVER use it. Buse's stink of chavs and god knows what. I have had too jump on the bus cause my GF comes back from work on one. She will phone me when there are a bunch of kids/chavs drinking and being abusive so sometimes i get on there to KNOCK some sense into them. BUSE's are not a safe place to be and they are what cause's the traffic to keep stopping.

n boost
You sound like a nice well rounded individual Well nobody else is going to say anything. I know 2 people who have been mugged/abused in these situations. Most of these bully's when confronted are nothing special and usually takes a few words for them to see sense, also when they are embarrassed in front of there little gangs they feel like shite and maybe next time they might think about what there doing. I am not suggesting that anybody takes the law into there own hands, but i see it as a waste of police time when it is youths who know they can get away with it because the of law is too soft on them. Yesterday i had youths throw stones and eggs at passing cars on a busy main road. Phoned the police who returned a phone call the day after saying sorry that they were not able too attend. I had too chase the youths away and think to myself that maybe i prevented a accident which was bound to happen if they contuined. .

bmx1lew
did you know a cow gives off more harmfull emitions then a car! FACT no shit, a cow eats and farts all day you dont leave your car running all day and if you compared the emitions from a exhust to a cows fart the cows fart will send the emitions meter off the rails! kill all the cows and get lots of steak lowever the price of petrol the worlds a better place. "Cattle farming is notorious for its perceived damage to the environment, based on what scientists politely call “methane production” from cows. The gas, released during the digestive process, is 21 times more harmful than CO2 . Organic beef is the most damaging because organic cattle emit more methane." and no that is not from the sun or the star http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/science/article2195538.ece fucking cows man there fucked up.
