jamesmark
Friday night/Saturday morning @ 2.30am I get woken by neighbours over the back garden wall letting off loads of fireworks, not your cheap bangers neither. Went on for about 20 mins. I thought nice happy thoughts in my head and said they must be having a party, a celebration or whatever. This morning @ 4.15am the c*nts do it again, the night sky getting lit up with rockets, blue, green, red, fountains cracking things. Fooking erseholes, the problem being, if I was to call the police it would have to be 999 as I stay quite a bit away from any main police station so that would cause more hassle. The neighbours in question are only about 30m away and without killing myself by climbing walls to get to them is a long way round. Fireworks should be banned to house users and should only be used at events under special liscence.

Soonto_HAS_soop
Get a load of fireworks, and fire each one at 15 minute intervals AT there house throughout the night. See how they like it.

MrHanky
Yep ban them. Vicki thinks im a moody git because of my hate of fire works, but the fact is that every little punk around uses them for the weeks leading upto and after the event. Always at unsociable hours as well. Frickin fireworks

mattanna
should be banned, cannot believe that dangerous explosives can be sold to anyone with proof of age, or without in most of these "tosser" style seasonal shops that pop up everywhere populated by scum:)
JamesG
I think there might some environmental laws about when you can set off fireworks. Haven't looked into it. 4:15am is blatently taking the piss though. I'd be tempted to get out the hosepipe
PJ
Ban them for sale to the public, especially those that shop in Asda wearing their shellsuits and speak in mono-sylibic grunts, and keep them to properly organised events only, you should have a license to buy them. neil tt
They should be banned without a doubt, events only for me:)

Sharpie
I really enjoy Fireworks. BUT, ban them to the public, it has to save EVERYONE tax money for the burden on the emergency services, hospitals etc.. during October/November....not that we would see any tax breaks because of it....but, if it just saved 1 life, it would be worth it! merckx
They're far too powerful nowadays. The ones that are meant for organised displays are being bought by any Tom Dick or Harry.

Charlotte
I agree about the public displays only thing. I went to my friend's mum's house a few years ago to watch fireworks in the garden (because my friend had just come out of hospital they did a small display thing in the garden). Oh my god I've never laughed so much in my life - in a kind of we're about to die any minute way. The garden was far too small and the rockets didn't just go up, they went in all directions! DaveK
I was "persuaded" to go to a public display in Lewes many years ago. It was bloody freezing and I wasn't impressed. However - one of the displays fell over and started shooting fireworks into the crowd. It made the whole thing worthwhile - I'd go to more displays like that.
