It started to die on me as soon as i let go the race padle.... first time i put some feul system cleaner wich helped the problem for few days but now it does not hold and idl, as soon as i let go the accelerator it kills..... i just replaced the spark plugs, wires and the dist. cap, that still didnt fix the problem. Tannhauser
I just had a similar problem and it turned out that the map sensor hose had come off. Perhaps you could look for leaking or diconnected hoses?
Guest RednSilversupra
Thank you Tann, Can you please tell me where to find this map hose or the sensor and how to check the sensor? Im sorry i just started working on the car myself, i never had any problems with it before.... it so happens that when im tight on money i get these problems..... i called to find out about the o2 sensor and that is pretty expensive....... I need to get the car back on the road but dont know what to do..... Once again thank you for help..... Mo
Tannhauser
Well, this could well be the blind leading the blind: best wait for someone cleverer to help. The sensor itself is on the intake plenum I think. But I see you're in the USA so yours might have a MAF sensor - don't know how that alters things if at all.
