Mazda RX-8's have dropped like a stone

It's in Auto Express this week but I can't find a pic, basically it's a bit like the Mazda Kabura concept car but more aggressive looking, no silly doors and doesn't look like it will appeal to old ladies like the current one.

I know thats alot of money to loose but are all new cars pretty much the same ?

I know when the bmw mini came out there was a high demand and therfore second hand prices were good and I also remember something about the big cryser (300c??) being worth alot second hand compared to the new price but thats the only ones I can think of. Depresiation on new cars these days is a c**t.

Wouldn't like to have bought a new RX-8, been offered two today for about 7500 quid each, tidy cars with no engine issues. BIG hit on these things...

That does seem v.cheap. Are they not proving to be very reliable or something? I believe they're very thirsty to run.

Wish the 350Z had fallen the same. Let me know if they do ;)

People probably sell them when they realise how much fuel they are putting in.

A bloke at work has one, he bought it brand new a few years back (i'll have to mention to him that it's not worth much more than the Supra now ;)).

He said he knew about the fuel consumption, but once he realised he had to put £50 of juice in a week, it hit home what they meant.
