Anyone been to Stockholm?

Leaving early in the morning, anyone got any advise/pointers?

 

only things ive heard is that its £9 a pint and its rude to pay with coins in bars!!

ive been there its quite nice. swedish chocolate is nice too but when i did go was too young to drink so cant help on that part.

I was in Malmo and Goteborg and found most things the same price as ireland if not a bit cheaper, it might be £9 a pint in the top bar in Stoclkholm but in most places id say its the same as here, lovely country, i didnt wanna come out of it!

Nice place, lots of people speak English ...

- Make sure you go around the old part of town (across the bridge)

- Have a look at the ice bar (near the train station if memory serves), but don't go in there: it costs a lot, and you're only allowed 45 minutes in there.

- There's an Irish bar near the river with good Guiness

It's a lovely place, I haven't been for a few years though

 

Make sure you go and see this - http://www.vasamuseet.se/InEnglish/about.aspx - it's amazing and very interesting. Much better in the flesh than the photos.

 

Generally the people are very friendly and all too happy to speak English to tourists, they speak very good English too. And the chocolate is great
