Lbm
I'll start by saying I'm a cock! Just before Xmas last year, first thing in the morning at BP off A12 near the M25, I filled the supe up with (Crowds shouting..."You Cock!") DIESEL! The Grey pump looked like the green one to me...no it's no good...I'm still a cock! The recovery guy told me 400 people do this every day in UK. Would that be a gaggle of cocks? Tank emptied by my mate Doris the mechanic...good as new. I guess if you've done this, you wouldn't admit it...!?

tbourner
My dad did it, the woman behind the counter in the garage asked him whether he'd put diesel in a petrol or vice versa - before he'd even said anything!!! She told him it happens AT LEAST every day!!

I worked in a petrol station for 3months never happened while I was there either was really busy too. My dad has put petrol in his diesel car about 4 times I can remember and my mum the same! I don't even know how people manage this, my dads excuse is that he switches between petrol/diesel cars all day!

markjodrell
I did it years ago, my dad had gone away for a few days on holiday and I was not allowed to use his car, anyway I sneaked his car out to impress a girl and started putting derv in, only about a fiver before noticing my mistake, I then had to fill her up in the hope of diluting t. Okay it did run but smoked like hell. I drove for miles and miles trying to use all the fuel so I could refill with fresh fuel. Also put unleaded in a Npower company escort van a few years ago and drove it till it "stopped"

mr lover
whilst in america i had a big people carrier and filled it up with 30 litres of diesel before i realised, then just topped it up with about 30 litres of unleaded it was fine

Ewen
I put diesel in a Cavalier SRI years ago. Bastard thing deserved it though. 'Cough on that, you rusty piece of shit' I muttered as I deliberately started it up and drove the 'green ten yards'. I once erroneously put 200 gallons of diesel into the fresh water tank of a fishing boat too. That was not as much fun. My nose bled for hours. fri3ndly
I thought that the Diesels pump nozzle was deliberately bigger making it harder to fit in a petrol car??!!!
R3DG3CKO ROB
I filled a company Vectra with petrol by mistake once they weren't happy...
Ewen
I thought that the Diesels pump nozzle was deliberately bigger making it harder to fit in a petrol car??!!! A lot of imports dont have the restrictor fitted to the filler neck. Bit of a half assed move anyway, since it only stops you putting diesel into a petrol car, not vice versa. Jezz
We had an Audi RS6 in yesterday. They dont run too well on diesel either. Specially £80s worth!
