wile e coyote
Has anbody fitted cruise control to a VVTI Tiptronic? Is it possible ? What would i need from doner car ?
Branners
I think its probably quite a major job. The additional throttle connection wont be there, the wiring loom wont be there and theres probably a good chance that even the connectors on to the main loom wont be there so it would need to be manually soldered in. Personally I would track down an aftermarket cruise control company and see what they can do. If you can fit it to a VVTi then I would be very interested as thats the car I will go to when my UK spec dies and I rely on cruise a lot. Jezz
You'd be surprised. Alot of Supras already have the loom in place, and just need the actuator with cable bolting on and the ecu and wheel controls fitting. If the looms in place it can be retro fitted in a matter of minutes. I replaced a dash on an NA today, and noticed it had the green plug for the ecu under the dash. Check if theres a chunky plug on the drivers side inner wing, just taped to the main loom.
