Supragal
Sounds good what your doing mate. Long shot but I have been Thai Boxing for 3 and a half years now - Im fitter, stronger, more alert and more flexible than I have ever been - I can even nearly do the splits now!! I would 100% suggest trying it out - its not like some namby martial art it is very rewarding and physically draining every session. And best of all go with your mates and you get to hit them You can use it as keep fit - or - like myself I have my first show fight coming along soon (inter gym comp) I used to do thai boxing, but in the end the state of my instructors face put me off lol

Homer
Well done Martin A few years back I went on a diet and lost approx 3 stone (unfortunately then got a debilitating illness that ruined all the hard work!). One thing I wished I done from day one was tracked how I'd been getting on - be it weight, waist/chest size, blood pressure, etc. Now I'm well again, but after a check-up 3 months ago found I have high blood pressure. It's not dangerously high, but is borderline and was warned that unless I lost weight, in another year I'd be on medication for it. So, now I'm trying another weight loss plan/change of lifestyle I'm recording weight and waist size about every week. It's a great motivation to look back at 6-8 weeks ago and see just how much difference it's making, so recommend you try some way of tracking your progress every week or two. 2 months in I've lost 25 pounds, and dropped 3inchs on my waist size, plus my blood pressure has dropped considerably. Now that my diet is good I'm finding regular cardio exercise is making the biggest gains. The downside, is none of your clothes will fit you in a couple of months time! Best of luck to you. Jake
Is there any money in being able to speak Japanese round your way then Martin?
RedM
none of your clothes will fit you in a couple of months time! They will. I'm still squeezing onto the same clothes as when I was thinner! Is there any money in being able to speak Japanese round your way then Martin? Nope. Always been fascinated by Japan and it's culture though. TBH it's something to do other than sit at a keyboard. I find learning more fun if it's something you want to do rather something you have to do to reach an end goal, ie. learn a language to get a better job.
