Rob
Also what are those twist tight ones called that use a small worm to tighten. Also look a bit like cable ties but metal and bigger Jubille clips. So called because they were invented in 1977 by Carry On actor Jim Dale to celebrate the Queens Silver Jubilee, that's why they are always silver in colour. ivan
Not sure about the first one, but you need to get a pair of pliers on the second ones and squeeze the prongs together. (Have you tried a bigger set of pliers and attack from the side?)
TrickTT
The best way to get rid of those spring loaded 3 prong ones is dynamite, or semtex or some kind of termonuclear warhead. Hateful things. Throw them all in the bin and replace with mikalor clamps

I used to use them for removing hooks from the mouth of pike as you don't want to put your hands in their.
