Hi Guys, wonder if I could pick your brains a little.

I currently own a Rev 3 Toyota MR2 Turbo pushing out around 300bhp. It's always been reliable (touch wood), but I've seriously been considering chucking it in and getting a Supra, I'm thinking about spending £8-10,000 on one. My question really is how reliable are they, and how much do you realistically spend annually on servicing, parts, etc.

Thanks in advance.

They're Toyota, so more reliable than most in their standard form. As you're probably aware though once you start tinkering and modding you start to push the boundaries of your parts, leading to more expense and so on and so fourth.

In 5 months of ownership, I've only ever had one problem and that was a split hose. Nothing major at all.

Essex huh? I've recently put my car up for sale, you're more than welcome to pop round and take a look if you require any other info :)

Welcome to the club by the way. Rest assured that if you were to buy a Supra that went wrong in any way, there are members on here who are extremely knowledgable and will help you out in a heartbeat.

Heh, I may have to take you up on your offer, have to sell the old tubby first though! And convince the missus that I need a faster car that drinks more petrol than a fish does water! lol

Thanks for your help mate.

Thought I'd save you the effort Rob.
