Branners
I would go with the fact that you have a Veilside nose cone on there and the water is just flowing past the headlamps. A stock bumper has a very tight fit on the headlamps, generally the fibreglass fronts dont so they wont seal against the headlamp quite the same way. Guest Martin F
Might be worth running a thin bead of silicon sealer around the headlamps when you do eventually put them back.

Branners
Brad - do you mean in the headlamps or in the space behind the headlamps where the airfilter sits? JB

Water inside the headlamps is one of two things, either water being splashed up behind the lamp and going in through the breather holes, or the sealant on the clear plastic bit is leaking. If its the sealant you can just follow the strip down advice and then when you put them back together they should reseal properly, or to make sure just run a line of sealant round the outside of the headlamp. I know my UK spec lamps are leaking at the front as they mist up when I was the car using only a bucket and sponge, so I will be stripping them down some time soon. Adam Kindness
had a quick look tonight... the seal seems to be very tight under the headlights! BUT do you have a seal running down between the wing and bonnet?
Terminator
When I took my lamps apart, there was a 3 cm section at the bottom of the lamp where the sealer was thin and had a dusty colour. My OS lamp use to mist up afterwards but not when driving in the rain. My theory goes like this. When static the water ran down and round the; lamp and got in through my bad seal. When driving in the wet, the exterior seals and aerodynamics of the car kept water away from the poor seal. Worthy of a PhD or what????
