Since when has it been guilty until proven innocent?? We live in a family with only two drivers but we have 3 cars that we are both insured to drive. It's ok if you could put one of us in a certain place at a certain time but there are many occasions where we wouldn't remember who was out in that car!! If one of us got done just nipping to the shops etc then we'd be fubar as we just go out in whatever car is on the end of the drive..... It's good to see the Gov't sorting out these issues with motorists as we wouldn't want the thieves, burglars are murderers etc being the brunt of such biased treatment!! It is also massively out of line with the rest of British justice as there is a paranoia about convicting someone innocent but this will lead to loads of innocent people either taking points that they weren't repsonsible for OR being honest that they didn't know and getting hammered for 6 points!! What I don't understand is that if our roads are congested and full of shit drivers, then why not punish people with heavier penalties for bad driving ie not indicating, tailgating and lane hogging etc! Get all the idiots off the road kill two problems with one answer!! It is true though, they only want the money and to hell with the real issues!! H. I actually wondered about a YBF type of policing. The Police issue you members of the pubilc with a small camera fitted on your dashboard. If you spot an offence whilst driving behind another vehicle then you submit the tape and you get money for the video evidence?? Whilst I'm repping (sp) I see loads of people doing stuff that I would have nicked them for when I was a rozzer!
