stevie_b
Hi all, A fairly boring, general question I'm afraid (but one that I'd really like the answer to ) I want to wire up an air horn, and I thought that I'd just be able to use pick a spare fuse socket to run the main power to the air horn's compressor. It doesn't look like any "unused" fuse sockets have any juice going to them at all, i.e. they have no pinch sockets that the blades of a fuse push into. Are these easily obtainable to make the fuse socket "juicy", or is it an arse to use these sockets? Also, one of the fuse sockets in the fusebox beside the battery is marked "TEL": does anyone know what this stands for? It looks like it's got a dummy fuse in it. Thanks for any help you can give, it's appreciated. :)
merckx
An easy solution is to take the main power supply straight from the battery with an inline fuse . I've never looked for any spare supplies in the fuse box. I did this with my last van, I also fitted a 2 pole switch so that for the Mot I could switch it back to operating the normal horn if required.
