Sandy-m2 Posted September 22, 2007 Share Posted September 22, 2007 Ok so took my lights out this morning (bit of a bigger getting to the buttom bolt...) and connect up the ballast and then the bulbs, and nothing, tried it with the harness too and no joy, Has anyone got any way of checking to see what part is gone?? Nic Posted September 22, 2007 Share Posted September 22, 2007 HID's need a minimum voltage for the ballast to fire up the bulbs, if you battery is low nothing will happen. Try connecting directly to a know good battery to see if they work. It could just be either a duff battery or a bad earth. Also try swapping the ballasts and bulbs around ie. try each bulb with each ballast. Also some HID kits have the positive and negative wiring the wrong way around and will not work, the only way to get them to work is to swap the wiring around in the connector. Shovels Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 I had problems with mine for a while. Sometimes they wouldn't switch on, or only one would. I took them out to check them, when I put them back in they didn't turn on at all. Turned out to be a fuse! I guess it had been on its way out.
