Mad Matt
Hey Guys, Does anyone know how much more noisier my N/A Supra will be when i get a de-cat replacement pipe fitted this Friday? Will it be unbearable or fantastic? Matt:conf:
MRX
I replaced both cats in my N/A last weekend... It does make it louder but definately not un-bearable..! I guess it will also depend on your cat back system aswell... I was very pleased with the sound increase from mine, not too much but enough to give a more raw power sort of exhaust note.... Mad Matt
So there's 2 cats is there? I 've had a quote of 75 quid from a company in Leeds to replace mine, but don't think he knows that there's 2?
Faye
Very loud indeed - long journeys I have to put the bung in my nurspec or I get a headache. I make sure I only do short journeys Plus its worth getting it done just so you get old people frowning and shaking their head at you
MRX
Yeah, there's the front one and a middle one... are you supplying him the pipes ? as £75 quid is very cheap.. I paid £200+ for both pipes and then chucked a mate a few squid for help with removing the cats as the bolts were well seized on...
Mad Matt
The quote was a bit out! Got there and he did the usual trick of 'ah, well now that i see you have 2 cats, it's gonna cost a bit more!' Ended up costing me £250 fitted, which ain't bad as they actually built it by hand! Sounds awesome now, but i have a strange whistle due to the new flexi pipe, which comes in above 3000 rpm! Almost an exaggerated turbo whistle! Weird!
