scooby_doo_do
I hate it.. I mean i really get stropy when it comes to cleaning. Every friday night or sat morning, my missis drags me out of my warm cossy bed and then pesters me for the next 2 hours to tidy up/dust/vacuum/polish/clean bathroom/sink/bedrooms/kitchen/mop floors/move furniture/hoover some more then empty bins.. i hate it.. every last second of it.. I end up smelling like a damn can of kitchen clean instant spray. My thoughts are, if it's not dirty/dusty don't clean it. Why move the furniture? if i have to move it, then i can't see it, then it's not there. I think she has a little cleaning problem - or am i just messy. rant over. Got to go clean up. tbourner
I'm the other way round, not obsessed but it seems I'm the only one who cleans in our house!
Guest Chumpalot
I used to hate doing it too, but when I got into it I couldn't stop! Pics of you with your pinny on?
Supragal
I'm awful. My house gets really messy before I can be bothered to do anything about it.

Safely Insured
Under the thumb. Just roll back over and go to sleep, thats my technique.
Chewie
I don't hate cleaning at all. I just don't do it. I never dust. It gives everything a nice matt furry finish. It probably saves me 2 hours/week which is better spent washing/waxing the supe or better still driving it. The girlfriend couldn't believe my vacuum cleaner was 17 years old and still working. Easy! I only use once a year!

Rob
Every Saturday, I get very stroppy while hoovering, picking up all my wifes clothes, shoes etc, and I start to chew over thoughts of people who have commited wrongdoings to me in my previous jobs. All of which puts me in a bad mood, right in time for my wife to bring her parents round for the day. So her mum thinks I'm just a reet moody geezer. Supragal
thats a mans man Well that depends. If one partner earns all the money then yes maybe it's the other partners job to keep the house nice. If both work then housework should be shared too. turbonut
Sounds like you need to split the chores 50/50 or go on strike Or// dont eat, drink, change your clothes or move around much then the house wont need cleaning Or// pretend to come down with an almighty headache every Friday morning and tell her its the thought of all that nasty cleaning Or// start sneezing your head off and say you've developed a chronic allergy to house dust and retire to the pub with beer and the paper Or// both chip in and hire a cleaner once a week! Or// trade her in for a less demanding model Lx

tooquicktostop
For just this reason I got myself a cleaner, and its not as expensive as you may thing, I pay £22.50 a week for 3 hours and it stops the girlfriend moaning and allows me to have the weekend nag free ( well on cleaning anyway )
snake
what does one get in recompence from the wife ~g/f for cleaning the house .Putting my larger cans in the recycling box is the thin end of the wedge. Got to go and get her a cup of tea now she has nearly finished tiling the roof:inlove:

scooby_doo_do
We had a cleaner once,,,, The missis went nuts at her as she didn't clean the floor correctly... So we soon knowcked that on the head. It's ok though, i've ordered a remote controlled vacume cleaner - so i can work and have a beer at the same time. I suppose i do have to look at the brighter side of life, i have this great linnen basket. I put stuff in it, and a week later it's in the wardrobe. I'm not sure how much it cost when i bought it, but i wouldn't sell it for the world.

Mrs H
I prefer to do the housework myself because if it's left to men folk it's just never done to the required standard:rolleyes: What really sends me over the edge is when dirty socks etc are at the base of the washing basket and not in it. Only today I threatened to throw any such discarded items away....the response I got was well I'll go and buy some more:blink: Vicki x
