Barney
Have bought myself a 1987 2.0GT Celica as an everyday runaround and was hoping someone here can help me with a wheel dilema I have. Basically the original 14" alloys (fitted with 195/60/14 tyres) are tatty and past economical refurbishment, plus I don't much like them. So I asked around and was told that Celica Generation 5 alloys with a pcd of 5x100 would fit. I've managed to get a nice set of 5 spokes from a Gen 5 GT fitted with 205/55/15 tyres, problem is they fit the hub fine but the tyres foul the bottom of the suspension, now my quandry is: Would they fit if I went down to a 195/55/15 or even 195/50/15 tyre, obviously I would like to find out for sure before I shell out any more money on buying different tyres. And lastly, would a lower profile affect the ride and handling much? Would be really grateful if someone in the know could help me out here, I have posted a similar question on the Celica and Toyota owners club boards without much success so far......... Basically.....HELP!!

SteveR
You've probably answered the question by now? I've got a mkIV Celica on 15s sitting at home in my garage (for sale too), I can check what tyres it's got if you like but the alloys are definitely 15s.
