michel lane
Put a large spanner on the nut wedge it against power steering pump , then crank the engine over once , the torque of the engine should release the nut. This is a trick given to me by my machanic and it works always. best of luck

Tricky-Ricky
You need a locking tool, strong bar drilled and bolted to the pulley, big breaker bar with impact socket, and bit of scaffold pole about 6 feet long, wedge the locking bar against the ground and lean on pole:)

Tricky-Ricky
I used a piece of good thickness angle iron with another flat piece of metal welded to it so you can access the crank bolt, drilled with two holes so yo can bolt to the crank pulley, which has taped M8 (i think) holes in it. Chris Wilson
Lock up the ring gear and use a proper big breaker bar. Remove the starter to do this. There are other tricks, but I am keeping some secrets of the trade to myself I have yet to be defeated by one of these *uggers.

It destroys the front crank oil seal & crank damper. Best you get checking for leaks when it's running again.

wile e coyote
I do trust him as he has done lots like this inc the GS300 which have the same problem. He only warmed up the bolt head so not very hot But will keep an eye on it
Jake
That might turn out to be the most expensive 'free' thing you've ever had. I think I'd have rather paid him for the job so that you have a receipt and some come-back if/when the engine starts pissing oil. Hope it's OK for you Darren. Guest kwiktoy
I had this problem about a year ago. Even two batteries in parallel did not work. I had to to resort to using a chain wrench on the crank pulley (using the old belt for protection) and wedged it against the water pump (I think). A 3' 3/4" breaker bar and 4' extension finally cracked it.
