Retro Jap Cars - Has Anyone on here got one?

Those of us that subscribe to Japanese Performance have probably all read the free magazine entitled "Retro Jap" that came with this months edition of JP. Well, I have to admit that there are some right tasty examples of 70's and 80' Jap Performance Icons within its pages but it got me thinking to see how many people actually owned them.

I don't believe I have ever seen any threads on this forum that relate to such cars but if anyone owns one then I think we would all be keen to see some pics.

I particularly like the old Datsum 240Z and the modded version of the Datsun 280Z.

First off check this thread: http://retrorides.proboards86.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1155631861&page=1

40 something pages of cooooool cars, trust me, a huge range and some awesome rides. Just look at the first page and you'll be hooked!

slight photo collection coming up (mostly nicked from retro rides), these first 2 I took myself at some track by Leicester.

Oh and that one, of course. Another example of stripes really working on a car, as it has to be the right car!

Overhaulin's '06 Mustang that Foose redesigned was another fine example :)

I started thinking about a retro project recently but then decided that I needed to wait until I had some spare money. The Datsuns are stunning but I found myself wanting either a Toyota 1000 (after reading Jap performance a few months back) or a 1983 Toyota Starlet. I really like the Starlet and though that it had good potential. One day I will hopefully get a chance to have a little project.
