xxcat
How it should look like? I have suspicion that mine is not complete or something.. I have STOCK front bumper but the hook (front tow eye) seems to be too high.. The tow will definitely touch the bumper. Is it Ok for Supras or I have lost some part? Thanks! Gazboy
I have no idea where the front tow hook is. The rear one is in the most stupid place I've ever seen.
RobSheffield
There should be 2 on the front, on the chassis rails.

Suprash
There should be 2 on the front, on the chassis rails. Cant see anything here, not the best picture I know, unless GVN have removed mine ?????? http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa264/Team55/Supra/GVN7.jpg EDIT: Is that the tow hooks that you can see poking out just under the FMIC boost pipes.....? Stevie Boy
Maybe TOYOTA hid them high-up there on the chassis rails, behind the front bumper because they were sooooo confident you'd never need to use them!
RobSheffield
Isn't there a tonking great big plastic bumper in the way? Yes, but if you want to remove them i would have thought removing that would be a first step

Gazboy
These are the only pics of my car from the front: http://www.photodirectuk.com/MSE07/05%20Abingdon%202303/17%20Toyota%20Supra/index.htm
DamanC
You can use the stock ones if you have a stock front on. Any splitters/aftermarket stuff will disable them. The rear tow hook is not in the greatest of places either. Im trying to find an aftermarket one that pokes out from under an aftermarket bumper (do luck) but have no where to start
xxcat
Have you got a pic? Fresh pics As you can see - the tow eye is even higher than engine protective cover (it's removed in my case). You can use the stock ones if you have a stock front on. Any splitters/aftermarket stuff will disable them. The rear tow hook is not in the greatest of places either. Im trying to find an aftermarket one that pokes out from under an aftermarket bumper (do luck) but have no where to start I have absolutely STOCK front. xxcat
On the 2nd pic you can clearly see that it's impossible to use it without deforming the bumper lip... Just interestig - how it can be on a "stock bumpers" Supra?
Gazboy
The rear one is even worse! No way could you use it without writing off the bumper.
RobSheffield
I just removed all my 3 brackets as with my front and rear bumpers they are useless. Reckon that all 3 came to around 15 kilos!
xxcat
I just cant believe that Toyota made them useless Is it true that noone can safely use them even with OEM front bumper?
SUPRASUZUKI
The rear one is even worse! No way could you use it without writing off the bumper. Gaz, when I lost the viscous fan (and damaged the rad) at Snetterton earlier this year, I got the RAC guy to pull the car backwards onto the beavertail truck. With the Bomex front the towing eyes are unusable. The rear (stock) worked well. The winch cable hardly touched the bumper, but the bumper flexes (and I'm talking just touching, not a real hard contact). I put a piece of rag round the cable, so no scratches and no damage to the bumper. For the front, I'm going to make up a tow hitch for track days. A length of 1" box bolted between the stock towing eyes. Some form of 'swan neck' dropping down to a threaded towing eye running through a hole in the Bomex. If you can replace the bumper beam with a stronger cross member, this could be drilled and tapped for a towing eye, the hole for the eye will be behind the front number plate. So front plate off to fit the towing eye.
