My laptop has - usb and serial ports

And i would like to connect it to my tv which has - HDMI, scart and dvi inputs.

Whats the best/most simple way for me to connect my laptop so my tv becomes my laptop screen/audio output ? The tv is a 42inch lcd HD if that makes a difference?

Thanks in advance.

Does the laptop have Video Out?

All it has is 4 usb's. and a 15 pin (what i think maybe the serial port) has a little monitor pic next to it. Other than that its the usual headphones and mic input

steb9780 - Has not got s-video

Gav - A DVIHDMI would not be any good as i have none of the outputs from lappy. But yes my tv also has rgb inputs aswel

I too have a similar problem.

Although, I have a TV out port on my laptop and a dedicated PC port on my Plasma - the only thing is I can't get my damn graphics card to change it's sertings (ATI Radeon 1400). Anyone have a clue how I do this?

Sorry for the thread hijack edge - i'm just fed up of having to burn stuff to DVD to watch on the big screen...

There is your answer then, VGA DB15 on both sides, directly connect the laptop to the telly.
