edge
My laptop has - usb and serial ports And i would like to connect it to my tv which has - HDMI, scart and dvi inputs. Whats the best/most simple way for me to connect my laptop so my tv becomes my laptop screen/audio output ? The tv is a 42inch lcd HD if that makes a difference? Thanks in advance. Jake
Does the laptop have Video Out?
JustGav
You might able to plug the laptop directly in using either a DVIHDMI cable or as I do with a DB15 VGA cable. My plasma has got an RGB input, but I made sure of that when I bought it.
steb9780
Check if it has S-video out, mine has and it does look just like a mouse port.
edge
Does the laptop have Video Out? All it has is 4 usb's. and a 15 pin (what i think maybe the serial port) has a little monitor pic next to it. Other than that its the usual headphones and mic input steb9780 - Has not got s-video Gav - A DVIHDMI would not be any good as i have none of the outputs from lappy. But yes my tv also has rgb inputs aswel
Conrad
I too have a similar problem. Although, I have a TV out port on my laptop and a dedicated PC port on my Plasma - the only thing is I can't get my damn graphics card to change it's sertings (ATI Radeon 1400). Anyone have a clue how I do this? Sorry for the thread hijack edge - i'm just fed up of having to burn stuff to DVD to watch on the big screen...
