SupraJim
i have a j-spec 1993 n/a supra and installed an air/fuel ratio gauge but not sure what to connect it too! looking at the lambda sensor in my manifold, it only looks like a one cable sensor, (im asuming its not co-ax!!) is this right??? do i connect to this?? or does anyone know the pinout on the ECU so i can connect to that??? it looks like i i have two lambda sensors as will one on each three cylinders, is there a preference what one to use as well??? cheers jim
Jake
Your stock lambda sensors are narrowband, so they're no use for connecting to an AFR gauge. You need a wideband sensor fitted to the exhaust. The second decat is a common location to fit one.
SupraJim
i have had a full decat on the car! is there not anywhere on the ECU to connect to?
JustGav
As Jake has said, the stock one is a narrowband, and it doesn't have the resolution required to drive an AFR meter. You will have to tap into the decat and install an additional wideband lambda sensor. Yes, you can get the output from the ECU but it will be narrowband (See above)
