Dave F Posted September 19, 2007 Share Posted September 19, 2007 What with the cold weather soon to be approaching (sorry to bring it up) I am thinking of having my wall cavities insulated, does this make a noticable difference to the feel of the house in the winter? JohnA Posted September 20, 2007 Share Posted September 20, 2007 Yes, it does. It is done usually by drilling holes on the outside bricks and injecting the foam inside. If the house also has double glazing and no serious draughts, this insulation can have measurable impact. Most of the heat is lost from the roof ofcourse, just make sure you don't block the ventilation paths of the roof's timber frame (usually this means don't stuff insulation in the eves) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
