Wall insulation

What with the cold weather soon to be approaching (sorry to bring it up) I am thinking of having my wall cavities insulated, does this make a noticable difference to the feel of the house in the winter? Ive just added an extra layer of insulation to the loft as well so that should help. I cant stand a chilly house!

Yes, it does.

It is done usually by drilling holes on the outside bricks and injecting the foam inside.

If the house also has double glazing and no serious draughts, this insulation can have measurable impact.

Most of the heat is lost from the roof ofcourse, just make sure you don't block the ventilation paths of the roof's timber frame (usually this means don't stuff insulation in the eves)
