Matt H
Ive just purchased a property with my best mate, and we are trying to decide which would be the best option to go for; Basically, we plan to sell the house in 3 years time, so as its a short term investment we need to consider re-selling. The issue we need to resolve is as follows (we are thinking value for money and the attraction to potential buyers) At the moment the new build property doesnt have a fridge or freezer. There are two options; 1. for £1k have the property builders install a standard intergrated fridge freezer located in matching cupboards. 2. For £800 including installation, purchase a American Style double door fridge freezer with ice maker and cool water dispensors on the front, which we could give the new owners an option of keeping or not at no extra cost. Picture of the LG model we are interested in: so as a potential buyer, and considering value for money, what would appeal to you more, the integrated standard fridge freezer within matching cabinets or the LG model? Thanks Matt
Bob
LG for me - I think integrated fridges are tacky. But obviously it depends on space - you need a big kitchen or the LG would dominate it too much; it needs to blend as a feature rather than being the focus. If it's an average size kitchen go for the integrated (but do it yourself, as that price is extortionate!)
spidermonkey
LG sounds sweet for me
ozz
That LG looks a great bit of kits, if it suits the kitchen then I'd go for that.
tbourner
I'm with Bob. (not like that )
tooquicktostop
The LG will have a wow factor when showing around but unlike the intergrated unit if the offer comes in below the asking price you can use the LG as a bargining tool, e.g as you have placed an offer below asking the fridge will not stay, then sell on ebay or take with you ? michael
I went integrated, I don't like bodykits either... less is more... I do like the features on the LG though.
Papercutout
Much as integrated can be good, I'd rather set it out and go, here it is, easier to get to, bigger so I can get more stuff in etc, and it cheaper.

colsoop
Will it still be in good nick in 3 years time ?
ivan
My sis has one of those US stylee ones and it looks great. Mind you, her kitchen's huge and it doesn't look out of place. In a smaller kitchen I reckon it would just look ostentatious.
Matt H
ostentatious. Did you thesaurus the one?
Sharpie
How much is a 3yr old used fridge worth anyway ? It's cosmetic and not too all tastes so, go with the standard option as you can't loose then. It would not sway me, when buying a house.
