xbox 360 vs ps3

far

Recommended Posts

I got a PS3, at the moment there isnt a massive supply of games but the games which are due to come out soon look to be good.

I have F1 and Resistance Fall of Man, both of which are great, i have downloaded a demo of CM Dirt which is very very good.

What sort of games do you like?

For me one of the best features of the PS3 is the media part of it, you can have music playing and browse your photo albums while sitting with family, friends or both all on your TV, that side of it I think Sony got spot on.

Well i'm a greedy pig and got both. But have been collecting consoles for a few years so i have a excuse ! lol

In my opion i would go for the X-box 360 because of the price , the games. The PS3 is a great bit of kit but its gonna take a while for the games to kick in. and when we finally get the 20GB model the price will be about the same as the x-box.

so go for the 360 the elite if you can afford it. or the halo 3 special addition when its out and buy forza 2 and lose days of ya life playing on it !!

hope i helped

cheers guys, Im swaying for the 360 as there seems to be more titles out their, Wez im into car games (of course!) beat 'em ups and shooters.

PS3 seems almost twice the price but in terms of the look and playability of the games it seems there isnt much in it

Guv which console do you use most?

Far, i play the 360 more.

The 360 elite has bigger hard drive than the ps3 and has hi-def out and still cheaper than a ps3.

I'm gonna guess the 360 will be the 1st to be hacked cause people luv to pee microsoft off !!

The only thing is PS3 has blue-ray player built in

and you have to pay extra for the HD-Drive for the 360.

Had 2 360's and got bord with them very fast. The PS3 however is such a better bit of kit. Hasnt missed a beat and is deadly silent. Plus its dead cheap. Got mine for £350.

It has

60gb drive

Built in wi-fi

Blu-ray

Quick charger for controler

HDMI support

If you got a 360 with all of that you would be looking at 500ish

Bought my 360 at Christmas. Don't play it too much but got the ROD about a month ago. It's been with MS for over 3 weeks now. Based on my experience of the failure rate and those of my colleagues, I wouldn't recommend anyone buy one, until the issues are fixed permanently.

Shame really, because xbox live and the games catalogue are brilliant.

Got Both and totally agree, The 360 has the edge with online play and games.

I only really played GT4 on my playstation2, and only really played Halo on my Xbox, so I'll see what a mate that I trust buys, then buy the opposite and swap over every other month this time round with this generation of consoles, and like Jake says, the games cost a bloody fortune.

Always been a PS guy, so I have the PS3, played the Xbox and at the moment the games are there for the 360 as it is has been out for longer.

I have been reading around about the PS3 and some say that Sony are making a small loss on each of the PS3's they sell, and that the platform is currently very dificult to program for, hence the delay in all of the most eagerly awaited games coming out.

The reason for the early release, when compared to games, was to get lots of Blueray players into the market and help Sony cement their HD player as the standard platform, sinking the HD DVD alternative.

As for playing the Gran Turismo HD demo on my new 52" HD Samsung, all I can say is "Fook me it's fantastic!"

that's been said since console wars began!

personally I will be getting a PS3. 2 reasons really.... the failure rate of the 360 and the fact the 360 has been out so long. We haven't even seen what the PS3 can do yet. How can you compare a console that's been out ages to one that's been out months. Yes it has more games but wait till the PS3's power is truly reached.....
