Warning light in rev counter.

I had the warning light quickly come on when I hit the brakes a bit sharpish last night.

Is that telling me the ABS came on or is there something else I need to check?

I just darted out to overtake some old fart, was going to go for the car infront of him too but decided against as a corner was coming up, so I braked fairly hard and pulled in behind, thats when the light came on then went off almost straight away.

Brake fluid it up to its max marker as I thought it may be that!?

Any ideas???

The brake fluid resevoir lies.....put some extra brake fluid in anyway. I had the same problem ages ago, always did it after a mad accleration and then a sudden deceleration. The fluid looked like it was at the max but it still did it and only stopped when I put new fluid in.

Its also a sign that your brake pads are getting low cos the fluid level is dropping.

Hmmm, 'almost full' may not be enough to stop the light coming on when braking heavily.
