mr lover
i sold my last supra via paypal never had a problem, does take 5-7 days to reach your bank account
Ian R
I would be asking for another sort of payment. 4% of that is alot why would you want to pay 4% if you were buying ??
ManwithSupra
For that sort of money i would want a bank transfer
michael
I wouldn't risk it, if someone is willing to pay the fees on an amount like that there is something not quite right.
RobSheffield
Maybe he is piling it onto a credit card or using an echeque, but it doesnt sound right. Say a deposit by paypal is ok, but rest in cash/cheque to be cleared before collection.
Steve
Too risky mate. Ask for a bank transfer

Just transfer it out as soon as its in your paypal account, but keep the car untill is actually in your bank.
Guest mk47
im sure paypal can do things like chargebacks? if the buyer disputes something paypal can take the money straight back out without your consent..?
bluecoup
as i understood they can get it refunded if his company is paying im sure they would rather write a cheque paypal i'd personaly not trust for £1100 let alone 11000

colsoop
Interesting, why would a company want to pay via paypal. Theybwould normally issue a company cheque. Be wary.

MrRalphMan
Hi, Sounds fishy, but did you advertise it as to pay by PP? If not then tell him you wont accept it. Paul.
SupraStormRising
I would be worried because even if you were to get the money, transfer it to your bank withdraw it and have the cash sitting infront of you Paypal could still do a chargeback at the customers request and then persue you for the £11k through the courts etc... So not a good idea ensure he pays cash, cheque or bankers draft as bank transfer is just as easy to get back.
Havard
I wouldn't risk it, if someone is willing to pay the fees on an amount like that there is something not quite right. This doesn't sound right to me! If he really wants the car then he should choose a more secure method of payment! I wouldn't take any chances with that kind of money! H. Supragal
YES WORRY. Don't accept it. Get cash, it's the only way.
Chris Wilson
Cash, trust me, I used to sell a lot of cars, no WAY would I even discuss Paypal, or a draft. if he's got the money he can walk into any branch and get it out (N Rock maybe excepted...) If he raises issues let him sort them. If you do decide to risk paypal make HIM pay the 4% and don't release anything until you have it in your bank account, with a letter from both Paypal and your bank stating they are fully cleared funds and irrevocable. As that will be a PITA to sort, I would just get the cash!
Snooze
Yep - cash every time.
