Wez
Hey All, Does anyone know if the AEM could be configured for use with a flex fuel sensor. Some great info here :- http://www.megamanual.com/flexfuel.htm
Wez
Bumping this up. Here is one of the reasons I want to run this fuel, this is a dyno comparing 93 octane pump fuel vs E85 pump fuel on a GT4088R with .95a/r on an RB26DET. The E85 run was done at 25psi, 93 octane at 16psi. http://www.zen85016.zen.co.uk/flexfuel/riggse85pump.jpg
Wez
looks like a Bosch 044 will have to be used for this stuff Heres an email response from walbro aftermarket (TI auto) "TI Automotive (Walbro Aftermarket) pumps (GSS341 & GSS342) are not compatible in E85. There are some people who claim to have used E85 with our pumps successfully but they are not designed for it and engineering does not recommend its use." Chris Wilson
What's the cost of this E85, and its availability Wez?
Alex
E85 AFAIK is sold by Morrisons (the supermarket), it was launched at the Norwich store bizarrely...I think this must have been because Lotus have launched an Elise/Exige that can run on it...the most powerful one they have in the range. The E85 is 104 octane, but will kill off some fuel systems...and it needs more mass of fuel pumped, so remap + bigger injectors/pump.

Apparently it's because it's produced at a plant in Wissington.
Jake
Doesn't look like I'll be switching to e85 any time soon : Where you can buy bioethanol

Wez
You can get a racing version of E85 but its not cheap. http://www.aaoil.co.uk/racing-R-E85-racing The stuff at the pump is cheaper and slowly appearing at more stations.
