New Clutch!!!

well yeah could be that! But i had it checked over before i bought it and my japanese friend came with me to read the Service history a stuff and he said it seemed alrite....who knows....lol. Is this Chris Wilson in America? And has anyone bought anything of him before?

yeah its a TT, an its Jap spec but jus stock engine, it seems the original clutchs are not that good! Its only done 47,000 miles and gone already :S.

 

47K miles is good, I wish I got half that mileage out of mine. At BPU levels my last stock clutch (many moons ago) lasted 10K kms, although the type of driving here puts a huge strain on clutches. Even the TRD twin plate clutch I have on now only lasts about 20K kms.

 

If you have a stock TT (and plan to keep it stock), then I would personally fit new stock Toyota clutch disc and cover. Uprated clutches can be heavy, noisy and not as smooth to use. If you're looking at increasing the power of the car to BPU levels, then I'd contact Chris Wilson about an uprated disc and cover.
