Sharpie
I have a 200 mile trip Shell station to Shell station which, I normally check my MPG with but, last week I was in a rental car. It was a 1.8 SRI Astra. I drove the Astra like I drive the soop and over the same strech of road and found that the MPG of the Astra only gave me 1 extra mile MPG over the Supra :-) Supra = 23 MPG Astra = 22 MPG Is the supra really that expensive to run ? Oh, I did have the SPORT button on all the time in the Astra which, I think would use more fuel.
Pete
That's quite surprising and fairly shocking that the modern Astra is so poor. I bet you can't wait to get your Supra back.
Tricky-Ricky
" drove the Astra like I drive the soop and over the same strech of road" So in order to do that you had the Astra peddle buried in the carpet all the time;) Hardly a surprising result then:rolleyes:

jaymdee
We used to have a works VW Passat tdi (110 bhp I think). I used to drive that as I drive the Supra up and down the Bristol ring road and only averaged 31 mpg over a week - was expecting a bit better than that from a frugal diesel.
