Supradaz
Had a bit of an impulse buy and bought a MVP non turbo 6 branch manifold. Never stopped to think if it would fit a right hand drive. I've been informed from a very good source that it will hit the steering rack as it was made for a left hand drive. DOH I just hoping that someone out there has been successful in fitting one of these manifolds. At fist glance it looks as though there would be plenty of room. I am going to get the Supra on a lift this week as I have a de-cat pipe to fit but should I even bother with the manifold. here's hoping
SatSport
yes it does touch the rack, but afaik it can be `made` to fit. Also i think there`s an issue with the sensor bungs, different type of fitting or something....
Supradaz
I just did a search there and there is pix of someone fitting a non turbo xerd manifold. Judging by the pix it seems a straight forward fit. It looks exactly the same as my MVP one. I might need to replace the sensors as they are screw in ones £18 I think. I should have done a search first but I'm going to give it a bash anyway.
NOODLE
did you manage to get it fitted? im just curious cus want one aswell lol
Nic
If they are the same as the XERD manifold then it'll foul the steering column on the outside corner where the 3 pipes merge to 1. Heating and persuading with a big hammer should give enough clearance - the area needs to be flattened by around 1cm so it'll clear.

SupraP-Z
Changing/Flattening the shape slightly shouldnt hinder performance in any way should it?
Nic
No, it's a very small area it'll make no noticeable difference,

SupraP-Z
Do you know when that will be?
Graham1984
Like Nic said you need to modify the manifold and sadly you will need Two new O2 sensors as stock are the push in flange type but the manifold you have will be screw in ones if I remember right. Herb
yes graham is right. You'll need the screw in type sensors for the MVP/xerd header.

I thought I had one useful bit of knowledge in there somewhere... Herb I got a mines as well now so you don't need to sell me yours anymore for £
