Dragonlady
What a day - where were you guys, weather was perfect clear skies and cold air - unfortuanately though only 2 supras + us to cheer them on. Big thanks to SteveL and his dad for being so friendly, hope you got home safely and that the car is fine. Did you manage to get your times on the third run? I was amazed at how friendly and helpful Andy Barnes from Sumo was and was really impressed by the supra he was driving, only 19000 kms on the clock and looking stunning, I just hope that they now bring it out to play more as its a bit of a beast . Met Fensport guys had a good laugh - generally an awesome day made even better with the people who were there. If they hold this again would recommend it to everyone else to come along. TLicense
I discovered a new oil leak on Friday which has meant removing the rear turbo yet again so I was unable to make it. Adrian called me though to see if I'd broken down en route, or had got lost and if there was anything he could do to help, which I thought was a nice touch! Looks like it was a good day out though. That Fensport Corolla seems to be the car to beat then!

Nice to have met you guy's and thanks for the assistance with my problems. As already said - It was a great day, superb weather and a very challenging layout, especially for the supes. I only managed two timed runs - I don't think the third run was registered, but still managed a 57.6 which put me 9th overall. Oil problems seemed to be the theme for the day - I suffered smoke pouring out of the bonnet after my 3rd run, and being on the cautious side didn't want to continue, especially as we couldn't find the cause and I had to drive home! Big thanks to Dragon Lady ( +1 ) and To Andy Barnes - who cast an eye over my little problem. Also, big thumbs up to Barry and Adrian for getting us involved in this.... make this a go next year guys - it will be great fun.
Sumo Power
Morning, I entered the Do-Luck Supra into this at the weekend as a way of showing that its not just a show car and its a real well tuned Supra. Pleased to say that I managed to finish 2nd overall and in class just 4 tenths behind Adrian Smith's Corolla. The track was very skinny and not wide enough for a broad-side Supra so I had to be very careful but after a couple runs it was fine. On the back straight I was in 4th gear when I think most were in 2nd and 3rd Great little day out, thoroughly enjoyable and nice to have a day without lots of pressure and stress for results which is the environment that we are usually in. Nice to meet a good few people too - DragonLady, Im not sure how much of a 'b4stard' I was suppoed to be before we met, but interesting all the same Its a great little event and one which more Supra's should enter next year, its ideal for those who want to learn something from their car instead of talking about it on the internet, you dont need a huge budget at all with the chance of a trophy for your class. Does anyone have any pictures from here? Here are the results : Andy

Well done Andy, well deserved 2nd place... that corolla was fast. It was a fun day and as Andy says - there should be more Supes competing. It could've been a whole different story if I hadn't pulled out ... shame the timing gear didn't register my third run, I was getting faster - honest ... but I did appreciate your 'last corner tactic' ! Oh - and thanks again for the jack ( I have 1 pic of the lineup at the end... I'll post up later. )
