Shane
Friend of mine has a FTO and it is fitted with OEM HIDs, One has failed and she thinks it is the ballast. She now has a nice new set of after market ones to go in, can anyone tell me what's involved? I am electrical minded and have worked in electronics all my life, but have to admit I know nothing about a) FTOs and b) HIDs. Any info would be great, thanks. Fish
They just plug in to the standard loom mate - no knowledge required you just need to plug in and secure the trans unit down somwhere .

I thought that but she says that her car already had HIDs so doesnt that mean there must be ballast already that needs to come out?
Fish
They're standard on the vR's I believe (didn't have one of those) but pretty sure the unit is located close to the headlamp assembly traced from the bulb connection. Im pretty sure David (Ricerocket UK) supplies replacement ballasts for this model(80 quid'ish I think) if that helps. Good luck.
