Ewen
Good luck, and I mean that. After an apprenticeship and working in boatyards where the antics and goings on were a little 'rough', I find myself in an office environment where throwing a rolled up piece of paper at someone or deliberately farting next to someones desk is deemed as assault. Companies are running scared of legislation, and will not tolerate stuff like this simply because of potentialy expensive come backs from the 'assaulted' employee. We live in a world where a soldier who gets his limbs blown off receives a tenth of the compensation that an RAF typist gets for a thumb injury. A world where 'common sense' is no longer in the HR spellcheck dictionary.

Or do they not grade them like I do.... H.

Two guys who would kick each others heads in if they met down an alley, but forced to tolerate each other in the office. We split them up, but they still had need to communicate with each other. An escalation of anonymous (to me, funny) hostilities (washing up liquid in coffee, tuna juice applied to coats etc etc) culminated in The Fart. Deliberate, and in front of witnesses. Serious stuff:( *snigger*

Supradoopa
I then lose my wrag, get up and walk to his desk, throw a Cat5 cable at him (could have been a cross over!) and tip his speaker over into his lap while giving it a load of anglo saxon and suggesting him come outside and i show him what its like to be attacked. At no point did i strike him.
Chewie
I don't want to to ruin the rest of your weekend but as already mentioned you could get the boot. By the sounds of it, your suffering post trauma stress. The headaches are a classic symptom. Do you find yourself playing over and over the attack? 4 years ago a guy at work got set on by some pissed up chavs. They kicked his arm out of his socket and stomped on his brother's head. The attackers went down for 6 months. Sadly the stress got to his dad and he died from a heart attack a few months later. The physical damage healed but mental carries on. See your GP and he'll send you to a consultant. It will improve your case at work.
JohnA
...See your GP and he'll send you to a consultant. It will improve your case at work. Very good idea. Don't wait until you are suddenly suspended. Be proactive, play it safe.

Ewen
Oh I was getting mixed messages with the anti smell gear. Understandable. But theres no point in kitting up with the latest flatulence protection only to get a Staples .375 lacky in the eye.

Ewen
Oh naturally. And the jacket...? Charcole Impregnated Filter Jacket....Absorbs sulphurous gasses before they reach the skin. As you can see, the previous attack was particularly gross, the jacket having turned completely yellow.

Class One
I think your behaviour whilst unprofessional and liable to gross misconduct, could be indicative of post traumatic stress disorder. The trauma that you suffered as a result of your attack could have had a more sever effect than you or others have realised. I would suggest that you speak with your GP asap, and perhaps be referred for some counselling. PTSD is a real and recognised condition, and perhaps whilst you may not wish to admit it incase you feel that it is felt as a weakness of character, I've seen the most together and with it people be effected by events that they have had to encounter in my profession. See your GP.
Ark
My boss not long ago had to send an email out to all reminding them farting is considered offensive and to kurb it, after several members on shift used to freely let their bodily wind go at any opportunity...... In fact Jake knows a thing or two about this, he was recently sat next to another colleague who seems to suffer this problem also, but Jake just finds it funny That's just ridiculous - bowel complaints are a serious issue, and sufferers can't always help it. Farts themselves on the other hand...well let's just say that everyone laughs at fart jokes. Oh, and maverick, if they didn't suspend you immediately I understand that they aren't following proper procedure, so they won't be able to do much without opening themselves up for some kind of tribunal. MaveriK
Well, have had my interview but the case will continue as the person who stirred all of this up is off work today. Apparently he is stressed over the incident so the sword is still dangling over ones head.
