mr keef
Just wondering if you's folks still run with the sound proofing on the inside of the bonnet?,the standard bonnet that is?just asking because on my old 5 turbo that was the first mod anyone done to aid cooling etc.. Sharpie
The only stock bonnet I have ever seen with no sound proofing was Leon's. I always thought that the sound proofing would help protect the paint work above too ? Leon's looked fine though.

Grazer
So I should get rid of mine?
Alex
There is no lining on my bonnet or IanC's. Neither car has self destructed due to it's removal. But I would replace it with a fire extinguisher as I believe it's there for fire suppressing.

Although with an as-yet-unlagged single turbo downpipe directly under the drivers' side screen washer, I have boiled the fluid in there before Steam comes out the nozzle when the button is pressed No frozen lines for me in winter! -Ian
