That sounds like something which intercepts the signal coming from the airflow sensor and changes it a bit before it gets to the ECU. To be honest, it's pretty much useless on an NA, you can slightly change the mixture but you'll probably only make things worse. I'd leave it zero'd.

A lot of NA's came without ABS, have you got the big pump thing under the bonnet? Rear passenger side of the engine bay.

If they are the big 17" ones that fit over UK spec brakes, you can get about £200 for them (unless that's changed in the last couple of years) as they are great for winter wheels/trackday tyres.

Could be a number of things, wheel bearing, brakes, LSD, as said already best to get it checked out by a specialist. Contact JodyT he may be able to help in your area.

If you have ABS fitted the ABS light should come on when you turn the key in the ignition before starting, as should the other check lights on that side (standard test to ensure warning lights are working). Do any of the others come on (oil level, oil pressure, etc.)? If non of them are coming on then it is usually down to the connector or soldering on the PCB.

ok thanks alot, much appriciated, any ideas on the c locking? thery dont run air pumps do they or pure electrical system, also i have an annoying rattling from my boot!! any suggestions? tanks again

The cable might have come out of the handle assembly - easy to check, just remove the door card.

it wouldnt lock though would it?

Yes it would. It happened to mine, turned out the little plastic bit that held the cable had snapped off.

I can't remember how it works, but it seems to only use the cable to unlock (using the central locking or inside latch - if it doesn't unlock with a key then it's something else).
